Patricia Cota's delightful setting of this American folk tune begins simply and reflectively, but soon moves into a steady "chugging" pattern with optional mallets in the bass. As the train moves faster, a key change brings more intensity, then as the train heads off, the "chugging" and "whistle" sounds fade away.
