How Firm A Foundation/Simple Gifts Medley employs both hymn tunes, skillfully interwoven throughout in this highly orchestral, multi-textural arrangement. It is scored for 3-7 octaves of handchimes. An orchestral bell (tubular) part is added which can substitute for the alternate chimes if they are not available. A glockenspiel part is provided especially for 3 and 4 octave choirs.
